Blockbusters goes mobile

Which 'P' is a portable communication device upon which you'll soon be able to play classic TV quiz show Blockbusters? That's right, it's your phone!

Harking back to a simpler age when you could shock an audience with careless use of a consonant, cult 80s quiz show Blockbusters more than lived up to its name pulling in over 10 million viewers for it's student-friendly afternoon slot. Now, thanks to the game guys at Player X, it could well secure a whole new audience.

In case you managed to miss the show first time round, the central premise revolves around crossing a game board made up of 20 letter-filled hexagons. Answer a question correctly and the appropriate hexagon turns to your colour, complete a line across the board and you've won!

With 500 questions and three game modes on offer (one of which promises to reproduce the original game show's rules right down the ability to add your own mascot), this could well earn the Player X team another family fortune.

Blockbusters is heading onto handsets anytime now, but if you want to be one of the first to know the answer to "When will the 'R' be appearing on these very pages?" simply click the Track It button above.
