Atomicom opens the throttle on Super Off-Road Kickstarter project

Atomicom is hoping to take you on a petrol-powered trip down memory lane with its new Kickstarter-funded racer Super Off-Road.

Cast from the mould of old skool checkpoint-chasing tyre squealers like Outrun, Super Off-Road is a larger-than-life rally title, with an emphasis on big jumps, big money, and big wheels.

The developer has some form in this particular genre, having produced Bang Bang Racing for Android tablets, and is hoping to raise $70,000 to bring its newest racer to iOS, Android, and BlackBerry devices.

Scenic route

Atomicom's plan is to include six tracks in Super Off-Road, set in locations ranging from a Californian beach to the Amazonian jungle. You will also be able to get behind the wheel of a number of sports cars, trucks, and SUVs.

As always with Kickstarter projects, there are incentives for generous donations, with a free copy of the finished game and Bang Bang Racing going to those who cough up $15 or more.

Head on over to Super Off-Road's Kickstarter page for more info. And to pledge some dough.
