A little boost

BlackBerry devices aren't really known for their gaming capabilities. Many of the App Store's best-known (and, indeed, best) titles are absent from RIM's offering, for example.

This may be about to change, though: the Pocket Gamer Gold Award-winning Jetpack Joyride and a bunch of other top titles are making their way to the BlackBerry PlayBook, as well as BlackBerry 10-powered devices.

These include another four titles from Australia-based dev Halfbrick, the excellent Galaxy on Fire 2, and Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 1. Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, meanwhile, hopped onto RIM's tablet today.

Last week, the PlayBook received another gaming boost in the form of PlayStation emulator PCSX-ReARMed-PB, which lets you play classic titles like Resident Evil on the 7-inch tablet.
