Big City Adventure: San Francisco first to offer real-time voice chat on iPhone and iPad

Big Fish's hidden item Big City Adventure games don't have to be particularly technically advanced.

But the latest iPhone and iPad release - Big City Adventure: San Francisco - is claiming a technical first: it's the first to use Z2Live's voice chat and multiplayer solution.

Supporting voice chat over wi-fi, Bluetooth, 3G and Edge, the integration of Z2Live means that Big City Adventure players can chat to each other as they work their way through 48 levels and find thousands of items spread across some of the city's most famous locations, such as Alcatraz and Golden Gate Bridge.

At present, voice chat isn't supported on Bluetooth headsets though.

New way to play

The game also includes multiplayer options such as head-to-head challenges and matchmaking.

"Adding online multiplayer and voice chat capabilities to Big City Adventure: San Francisco revolutionises the hidden object experience," remarked Patrick Wylie, vice president of Big Fish Games Studios.

"Instead of playing solo, you can now share the fun with friends around the world as you race to find hidden objects."

Big City Adventure: San Francisco is out now for iPhone and iPad, costing $4.99, £2.99 and £6.99, £3.99 respectively.
