Ben Hur Live rides out into the iPhone arena

Ben Hur Live is an epic stage show currently doing the rounds across Europe. It features epic re-enactments of the key action scenes from the classic novel, which the press release we received calls “Monutainment.” Seriously.
Anyway, United Soft Media has just released an iPhone game to tie in with said event. Ben Hur Live focuses on the chariot-racing scene made famous by the 1925 and 1959 film versions. The developer describes it thus:
“Demonstrate your skills in the arenas of Rome, Egypt and Jerusalem. Each of them tests your skills in four thrilling races. Avoid all obstacles cunningly and fend off the attacks of your rivals with your whip. But take care of your horses: Don’t whip them mercilessly - if they tire early, you haven’t got a chance for victory!”
Controlling your steed sounds intuitive, dragging to steer and prodding your horses in order to spur them on. Tapping your opponents enables you to fend off their attacks.
