Cheap beer at the Wetherspoons App Store

Last orders on iPhone's Beer Bounce

The new Publisher X application for the iPhone, Beer Bounce, is currently being offered at a 'special promotional price' of just 59p (I remember when you could buy half a mild for that).

The mature-rated app is a digital interpretation of the age old drinking game, which requires you to bounce a coin off the table and into the pint glass. Miss, and you've to take a hearty swig (the kind of game we like to lose!) as well as being subjected to some vicious smack talk, according to the game's App Store blurb.

"Where did you learn how to play like that, Glen Rock, New Jersey?," and "Go home and learn the game!" are the kind of scathing rejoinders a badly thrown coin will bring you. Ouch! Miss too many shots and the game gets more difficult as the screen starts to weave and blur.

A fun little app that probably takes on more appeal if it's played in the pub, with the advantage that you don't need to crawl around on the sticky tap room floor looking for lost coins afterwards. It's unclear how long the special offer is on for, but if this is your kind of game, it's probably worth heading over to the App Store Bar before the barrel runs off.

Spanner Spencer
Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
