Upcoming RPG Beasts & Blades launches Kickstarter, gives out free playable demo
Sure beats a demo video
Every week, Kickstarter sees the launch of tens - if not hundreds - of game projects looking for funding, and it's difficult for smaller titles to stick out from the crowd.
Seattletek, the makers of the upcoming turn-based roleplaying Beasts & Blades, knows this and decided to offer a free playable demo of its game to give potential backers an idea of what to expect from it.
The beta version of Beasts & Blades is naturally shorter than the paid version will be, but it features a chance to play as a heroic Elementalist character as you familiarize yourself with the game's plot and combat mechanics.
Dungeon CrawlInspired by classic 16-bit RPGs like Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger, Beasts & Blades allows players to choose from five different characters in their quest to free a kingdom from the tyranny of its corrupt leader, Lord Crewe.
Although Beasts & Blades is scheduled for an iOS and Android release (alongside PC, Mac, Linux, and a browser version), the playable demo is currently only available for PC or Android.
