Zed debuts Beach Volleyball Smashdown

Beach volleyball would be an appealing prospect if half of Britain wasn't underwater. As it is, we're surprised no publisher has reacted quickly enough to release Sheffield Impromptu Water Polo.

It'd be a hit! Maybe.

Lanetro Zed has wisely avoided that cynical route in favour of its new game, Beach Volleyball Smashdown. It's a cartoony game featuring ten unlockable male and female players, jumping, smashing and shifting about uncomfortably when sand gets into their swimsuits.

The game features three tournaments to compete in, and promises an array of special moves to secure points if you fill up your energy bar. (We think that's called drugs in the real-world sport.)

The game is available now, through the Club Zed subscription service. It'll have some way to go to beat our office fave Playman Beach Volley 3D, mind.
