New DS Pokémon game teaches typing, Pokemon 3DS on the way

While we in the west eagerly await the release of Pokémon Black/White, Nintendo has already announced another new Pokémon DS title.

It's called Battle & Get! Pokémon Typing DS, and, as you may guess from the name, the game's focus is on typing.

Bundled with a neat Bluetooth keyboard, the game is intended to teach youngsters how to type quickly.

Its educational focus may not sound too fun, but the keyboard itself is an interesting piece of kit.

Though functionality is not guaranteed, the keyboard should be compatible with other Bluetooth devices. Indeed, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata says that many employees at the company already use the keyboard with their iPhones or Android devices.

Iwata also hinted that more new Pokémon titles for Wii and 3DS are on their way.

Battle & Get! Pokémon Typing DS is slated for Japanese release in April.
