Samsung bada OS 1.2 due ‘very soon’ for European Wave owners
Trace input and UI performance increase top of the agenda
Samsung has tweeted that the expected update the next update to the bada mobile OS will be arriving on European Wave S8500 SIM-free handsets ‘very soon (this month)’, with other territories to follow later in the first quarter of the year.
bada 1.2 is, as can be guessed from the numbers, an incremental update to the platform, mainly focusing on security and bug fixes, which may be useful but isn’t very exciting to your average consumer.
However, there’s also the prospect of playing with the Swype-like T9 Trace input, which should make emails and texting less horrible, as well as a number of UI changes that will apparently speed up operations.
