US-based Atari Inc has announced an exclusive multi-year distribution deal with Empire Interactive, which gives it the rights to publish an assortment of Empire games in North America.

Titles already announced by Empire which will now see US releases thanks to the deal include Pipe Mania, Unsolved Crimes (pictured), Hello Kitty: Big City Dreams and Animal Paradise 2 – all for DS.

"Empire and Atari are both dedicated to providing fans with better gaming experiences, and this new partnership will allow Empire to reach the widest consumer audience during this upcoming holiday season," Karim Farghaly, VP of sales for Empire Interactive told industry site gi.biz.

No doubt US gamers will be very chuffed to hear they won't be missing out on a new Hello Kitty game. (Sorry, I can't contain my sarcasm.) All the games above are scheduled for a release in September. Except Hello Kitty, which is due later in the year so you can really let your excitement build up. (Told you.)
