Atari unveils its winter line-up

Yes, we know it's only just gone August and most of you are more concerned about where you're going for your summer hols than what you'll be playing this winter, but publishers have to plan ahead or else we'll get nothing for Christmas.

And sure enough Atari has a fair selection of palm-pleasers lined up between now and December 25th, bringing some classic names and brand new games to all handheld consoles.

Naturally, we've already told you about many of the titles here (click the links to go to the relevant game page), but there are one or two intriguing new arrivals, most notably SNK vs Capcom Card Fighters on DS, Blade Dancer on PSP, and the return of classic '90s annelid hero Earthworm Jim.

Expect more details on those titles (and probably some of the others too) in the near future. For now though, here's the full handheld lineup:

August
Dig Dugging: Digging Strike (DS)
Rebel Star Tactical Command (GBA)

September
Mercury Meltdown (PSP)

October
Blade Dancer (PSP)
Metal Slug (GBA)
Metal Slug Anthology (PSP)

November
BattleZone (PSP)
Point Blank (DS)
SNK vs Capcom Card Fighters (DS)
Test Drive Unlimited (PSP)
Thrillville (PSP)

TBC, but probably by Xmas
Arthur and the Minimoys (PSP)
D&D Tactics (PSP)
Earthworm Jim (PSP)
Hot PXL (PSP)
