Golden Balls and other quiz 'greats' coming to DS

'As seen on TV' is a strange phrase. Because it implies that anything that's been on TV must be somehow more worthy than anything that hasn't been. And considering a lot of what's seen on TV – from reality TV to stuff for sale on the shopping channels – is, well, poo, that doesn't really seem to be the case.

Anyway, as far as Koch's new As Seen On TV-entitled range of games, the TV content in question is quiz shows. We'll leave it up to you to decide if they're the good ones, though – each to their own when it comes to quiz shows. One man's Mastermind is another man's Going for Gold, as the saying goes.

The first titles in the series released will be Deal or No Deal 2008 (which we seriously hope is better than DS Deal or No Deal from 2007), Golden Balls and Professor Heinz Wolff's Gravity (which we didn't think was a quiz show).

These will be followed by Are You Smarter Than a 10 Year Old?

The initial launch titles will be available this Christmas at the "impulse buy price point" of £19.99. Just don't go impulse buying Deal or No Deal until we're reviewed it and said it's vastly better than last year's, eh? Because that's still possibly the worst game on DS to date.
