We haven't heard much from French publisher BulkyPix or Romanian studio Revo Solutions (of F.A.S.T. fame) for a while, but apparently that's because they've been working on Artilley Brigade.

Billed as a WWII defensive shooter in the style of arcade game Beach Head 2000, it has you taking charge of machines guns, anti aircraft guns and rocket launchers to fight off waves of enemy soldiers, tanks and warships, which attack from all directions.

Control options will include touch, gyroscope and accelerometer systems, and there will be six environments and day and night missions.

Fight them on the beaches

As well as the main Campaign mode, there will also be an endless Survival mode, with OpenFeint and Game Center used to award achievements and compare high scores.

"BulkpyPix is delighted to work with Revo Solutions and to bring Artillery Brigade to the Apple App Store. The game is an adrenaline-packed shooter that offers gamers first hand experience and the thrill of military combat," says BulkyPix's Vincent Dondaine.

"The fast-paced, suspenseful and challenging action will have you coming back for more time and time."

Artilley Brigade is scheduled for release for iPhone and iPad in mid November.
