Can you see what it 8-bit is yet?

What's coming next into the DSi Shop? Well, we know the list of forthcoming titles from Nintendo Europe's DSiWare webpage.

Logically this should mean that A Little Bit of... Dr Kawashima's Brain Training: Maths Edition is due on Friday.

In North America, however, next up it's Art Style: PiCOPiCT. We certainly know which one of the two we'd prefer.

The third in the Art Style retro series (CODE and AQUITE have previously been released), PiCOPiCT is a falling block-based game.

As large blocks - called megabits - fall down the screen, you can combine with square blocks - bits - of the same colour. You can also pick up the bits and place them any way you want to on the touchscreen. And by clearing the bits you'll eventually reveal each stage's hidden character, which are from the era of NES gaming.

Success will result in rewards such as coins which you'll spend unlocking Dark stages or listening to old 8-bit soundtracks via the Music mode.

Costing 500 Nintendo Points (£4.50, $5, €5), Art Style: PiCOPiCT should be out in the next couple of weeks.
