iPhone shooter Archetype gets price drop, Capture the Flag, Game Center support

Multiplayer first-person shooter Archetype has received both a price cut and a huge update that adds an extra game mode, Game Center support, and a whole host of other extra features.

Primarily, though, the big draw is the addition of a new piece of DLC which introduces three new maps that support Capture the Flag, and a new ‘flag weapon’ (which I suspect just means the flag itself.)

There’s now also a Multiplayer Story Campaign, which unlocks the ‘epic saga’ behind the arena-based FPS game as you earn exp across the modes. Their words, not ours.

In terms of free updates, Archetype has received matchmaking tweaks that should make it quicker to join a large game, as well as a few bugs in the menus and music and the aforementioned Game Center support.

Archetype for iPhone is available for 59p / 99c / €0.79, while the iPad version is £2.99 / $4.99 / €3.99, but doesn’t receive the new updates.
