Apple highlights 49 of the best iPhone games 'you've never played'

You've got to love Apple sometimes. Despite selling more apps every second than there are atoms in the known universe, the company has decided to run a promotion on iTunes giving a boost to small but notable games that didn't sell as well as they should have.

That means PG favourites like Tilt to Live, Canabalt, Jet Car Stunts, Soosiz, and Orbital are getting a chance at more sales. More importantly, iPhone gamers who've either failed to follow Pocket Gamer or who have ignored its advice may be tempted into some stellar portable gaming experiences.

It's a fairly mixed bag. While some of the games – Fieldrunners, for instance – have been out for a long, long time, the likes of Pro Zombie Soccer and Pix'n Love Rush are only just out. The inclusion of these more recent releases is a bit at odds with an editorial feature whose brief might be interpreted as, 'games that are good but haven't sold very well.'

In any case, there are some stone cold classics in Apple's list below, along with Pocket Gamer's scores.
