Yes. You can control the music coming out of your iPhone with the Apple Watch, or you can load up to 2GB of music, podcasts, or audio books to the watch itself and listen to that - even if you leave your iPhone at home.
The Watch doesn't have a headphone jack though, so you'll need some Bluetooth cans to listen in.
