Several iPhone app and game developers in New Zealand have teamed up to form App Appeal, a pledge drive to send 100 per cent of their current app proceeds to victims of the recent earthquake in Christchurch.

The quake, which struck on February 22nd, has killed almost 150 people, left more than 200 missing, and thousands injured. The 34 developers involved with App Appeal will donate their proceeds to the New Zealand Red Cross.

Developers on board include Ancient Workshop, the creator of Ancient Frog, Chopper 2 developer Majic Jungle Software, Scarlett and the Spark of Life studio Launching Pad Games and PikPok, which made Bird Strike. A handful of international app makers have gotten involved too.

All proceeds made between February 26th and March 5th will be donated to the cause. See the full list of games, and get involved, at App Appeal.
