Anomaly Warzone Earth for iOS slashed in price, updated with Squad Assault Rearmed mode, Universal support for HD version, and more

The highly anticipated 'Trinity' update for Chillingo's reverse tower defence title Anomaly Warzone Earth has finally hit the App Store, bringing with it a brand-new mode and Universal support for the game's HD version.

The iPhone-only and the aforementioned HD versions of the game have both received a fresh Squad Assault Rearmed mode, as well as fixes for the Commander trials unlock issue, and several other small tweaks.

The HD version, on the other hand, has also been treated to a graphical overhaul specifically for the iPad 2, with new glow effects, saturation enhancements, colour filters, zoom blurs, and dynamic environments making the game look better than ever.

You can see that for yourself in the comparison screenshots below.

Cut-price army

To celebrate the new update Chillingo has also slashed the price of Anomaly Warzone Earth for a limited time.

That means you can currently grab the iPhone-only version for 69p/99c, and the now Universal version for just £1.49/$1.99.

Anomaly Warzone Earth earned a prestigious Pocket Gamer Platinum Award at review, so it's definitely worth checking out.
