Animal Boxing punching its way onto DS
Unless the RSPCA gets involved
Animal Boxing. Why confine yourself to humans, after all, when there's an entire animal kingdom out there, grazing, sleeping, mating, and altogether downright asking to be thumped?
Exactly.
Animal Boxing. That's right: Animal Boxing. It's about boxing with animals. Several species of them, including "the agile and speedy Cat, the cunningly effective Fox, the icy and unrelenting Penguin and the fearsome Rhinoceros with jackhammer fists."
In amongst the screenshots, there's also evidence of what appears to be a budgerigar.
The game is set to employ a system called SD (Slam Down), although precise details of what this entails are yet to surface. According to the press release, "the player can face their animal opponents without fighting dirty and giving low blows."
No fighting dirty. No low blows. Animal Boxing. Budgerigar.
"The Nintendo DS touch screen shows the torso and face of your opponents, which is where you must strike mercilessly."
No mercy. Penguin.
It'll be out in time for Christmas. I can't wait.
