Angry Birds flies onto Windows Phone, priced higher than other flocks at £2.49
Don’t quote me on this, but it’s probably going to be big
Little-known Finnish developer Rovio (maker of Bounce on old Nokia phones) has released a new title on the Zune Marketplace today called Angry Birds as part of Microsoft’s Must Have Games promotion.
Angry Birds is a game that features a selection of lovable cartoon avians, which are flung towards a series of fortifications in order to crush some evil green pigs.
It’s a trajectory-based puzzler, then, but one that certainly looks good from all the trailers doing the rounds.
...But seriouslyJoking aside, the original game has been refitted with achievements for its Windows Phone release, and comes with 165 levels all ready for you to smash to smithereens in search of that three-star score.
As with all Windows Phone games, Angry Birds is priced significantly higher than its iOS release - £2.49 or $2.99.
I won’t mention how much Android users have to pay, as you’ll likely be upset (nothing).
Still, if you don’t mind the increased cost - and, to be fair, given how much gaming time you can get from Angry Birds, the price-to-hours ratio is still very good - you can grab it now via your Windows Phone.
