It’s fairly hard to go on any public transport around London without running into at least one Angry Birds player, so the announcement of an 'Angry Birds day' in which fellow addicts can meet up, form a Flash Mob, and swap war stories baffles me somewhat.

Nevertheless, that’s exactly what’s happening across the world on December the 11th, 2010.

At the time of writing, 189 meet-ups have been organised, with the majority naturally centred in Europe and the USA. To leave no doubts about the game’s universal appeal, though, there are also gatherings planned in Africa, South America, Australia, Indonesia, and India, among others.

The Meetup page has the details for the various locations planned. If you do decide to pop along to one of the gatherings, please do send in any good snaps of the event to rob [at] pocketgamer.co.uk.
