Last month we confirmed with Rovio, the developer behind the ueber popular physics puzzler Angry Birds, that the bird-flinging mobile game would be coming to Android this Summer.

Already available on the iPhone, iPad, and Nokia handsets through the Ovi Store, Android will be the next handheld platform to witness the addictive joy of hurling avian critters at buildings.

To confirm that the game is indeed in development, Rovio has passed along an exclusive first look at Angry Birds running on Motorola's Droid / Milestone device. In the video, the game is shown running just as smoothly as its iPhone counterpart, complete with the pinch 'n' zoom gesture to see the entire battlefield.

It still retains its vague 'summer' release date, as the developer can't give an exact date just yet - not least because Rovio is still testing the game on the massive deluge of Android handsets on the market.
