EA unveils its Google game plan

Tetris, Bejeweled and Monopoly arrive on Android

EA has spoken of its interest in the Android platform previously, but said it would only be getting involved once the Marketplace was in position to provide commercial games. It seems the sales opportunities are presenting themselves, however, as EA Mobile just announced a line up of three of its biggest mobile titles for Android – Tetris, Bejeweled and Monopoly Here & Now.

"Android is another exciting new platform to offer customers great games with enhancements like touch and tilt capabilities," said Adam Sussman, EA Mobile's US veep of publishing. "Tetris, Bejeweled, and Monopoly Here & Now Edition are the first titles we're launching on the platform, with more games in development."

Tetris and Monopoly are already available in the US, with Bejeweled to follow shortly. No news yet on any European release dates, but we're used to waiting for our games, eh?

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
