So what's next from the team behind Mobile Strike, Game Of War and Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire?

Your guess is as good as ours, but we know something is afoot. Machine Zone has embarked on a mahoosive recruitment drive. The company just opened 70 new job vacancies and that kind of scaling up always sets our Spider-Sense tingling. Scores of new jobs including game designers and marketing people suggests a big new game project. Oo, exciting.

The openings are at the developer's California HQ. They cover a variety of roles: game art, analytics, ad operations and consulting, data science, game design, game engineering, performance marketing and research, plus eight positions on its live data Satori platform, including a machine learning scientist.

Recently, our business-brained sister site PocketGamer.biz observed that the studio seems to be scaling back its campaigns for Game Of War and Mobile Strike in favour of pushing Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire.

But what could this new project be? More importantly, what would you LIKE it to be? Let us know in the comments below what you'd love to see the Final Fantasy XV crew work on next.

Dave is "management", but he's also been writing about games and films for over 25 years, so we suppose he's earned it. He claims to prefer big-budget RPGs with epic storylines but is commonly discovered tapping away at hypercasual indies. Currently obsessing over Marvel Snap.
