Anonymous attacks Zynga for the 'outrageous treatment' of its employees

Claims it will release documents about new sackings

Anonymous attacks Zynga for the 'outrageous treatment' of its employees

It appears that Anonymous, the self-styled vigilantes of the internet, are now targetting social gaming giant Zynga.

Of course, in these situation, we have no idea who actually is targetting Zynga or whether they can do what they say they can.

Still, someone has posted a YouTube video (although not on the official Anonymous channel) in which they claim Zynga is treating its employees "outrageously" and complaining about "their actions against many developers".

Presumably this refers to Zynga's cloning of games such as Triple Town and Tiny Tower.

Z for Bad Capitalism?

Bizarrely, however, the group's accusation go further, saying they have proof that Zynga is about to sack 'a thousand staff', and refocus on real money gambling and outsourced development.

"It will also come to end of the US game market as we know it as all this jobs will be replaced in other more convenient financial countries [sic]," says the anonymous person wearing Anonymous' signature V for Vendetta mask.

"With a billion dollars cash sitting in a bank we do believe that such actions are an insult to the population and the behaviour of corporations like Zynga must change.

"Anonymous could not allow this to happen so it's starting to release confidential documents we have leaked on this plan."

Apparently, the key to the data files will be released on 5th November; known in the UK as Guy Fawkes' Night (linking back to the V for Vendetta iconography).
