Year 0 Tactics is set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland following a nasty war that almost ended humanity. You play as a faction struggling to survive.
You build a base full of resource-producing buildings and defences. Everything is available to you right from the start if you have the funds to purchase it. It's a refreshing change.
You also create permanent units like soldiers, drones, and trucks, which you can upgrade. These defend your base against enemy attacks, and can be used to raid other bases to gain more resources.
There's an energy system but it's pretty generous, and you can purchase buildings that improve it further.
Year 0 Tactics is like a scrappy Clash of Clans on speed, and stripped of a lot of its free to play trappings.
