World of Final Fantasy: Meli Melo announced for iOS and Android

Announced earlier today, it looks like World of Final Fantasy has its own mobile title coming to iOS and Android later this year. Well, in Japan at least.

Revealed in the latest issue of Famitsu, and reported by ryokuta, World of Final Fantasy: Meli Melo is a 'casual' combat game, and not a port of the version released on PlayStation 4/Vita last year. Sorry, kids.

Director/Scenario Writer of WoFF, Hiroki Chiba, will also be directing this title, while WoFF's Executive Producer, Shinji Hashimoto, will also be hopping on board.

From what we can tell so far, you'll use the stacking element from the original title and will see some familiar faces too. In it, you'll get to stack up to six small characters, four medium, and two large, and some sort of cooperative play will also be supported. In the game you'll have access to a 'Garden Dome' where you can join Mirages as they explore the world of Valgallan.

We'll keep you updated when more details arise.
