It's one thing to be good with words, but being quick about it can be an entirely separate skill.

Snap Attack, a fast-paced word-building game from You vs. The Internet and published by Microsoft Studios, combines both, pitting players around the world against each other in real-time crossword-like competitions.

It is available to download now on the Google Play Store, for free.

With the same set of letters and the same board, players must snap together as many words as possible, rearranging and swapping tiles out as many times as they want over the course of two and a half minutes.

After each round, a worldwide leaderboard ranks the scores for all participants, including their username and country. Players can use Xbox or Facebook to sign-in and track their high scores against others.

Also available on Windows Phone and iOS, Snap Attack - a sequel to the Bronze Award-winning Wordament - launched on Android (its final platform) today. It's a free download, with relatively unintrusive ads.

Get Snap Attack now on the App Store, Windows App Store, and Google Play Store.
