Wild Rift Malphite, also known as "the rock" (no, not Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson, just a... rock) is a champion that's super fun to play and can go either in the top lane (Baron lane) or as a support. Malphite is quite tanky at his core, but some people could also play him as a mage and build AP.
On a good day, Malphite is very easy to play, and not too difficult to get ahead with. However, if there are many champions that counter him on the opposing team, he could prove to be quite difficult to come back. Nonetheless, he can provide much utility to any team, and act as an engage tank in most situations. He can also combo very well with Yasuo, who greatly benefits from Malphite's ultimate.

Granite Shield (Passive)Malphite is shielded by a layer of rock which absorbs damage up to 10% of his maximum Health. If Malphite has not been hit for 8 seconds, this effect recharges.
Seismic Shard (Skill 1)Using his primal elemental magic, Malphite sends a shard of the earth through the ground at his foe, dealing damage upon impact and stealing Movement Speed for 3 seconds.
Thunderclap (Skill 2)Malphite passively gains armor. When Malphite activates Thunderclap, he attacks with such force that it creates a sonic boom. For the next few seconds, his attacks create aftershocks in front of him.
Ground Slam (Skill 3)Malphite slams the ground, sending out a shockwave that deals magic damage based on his Armor as damage and reduces the Attack Speed of enemies for a short duration.
Unstoppable Force (Skill 4 / Ultimate)Malphite ferociously charges to a location, damaging enemies and knocking them into the air.
How to combo as Malphite:
The combos you could pull off as Malphite are not that many, but they are highly impactful. If you build full AP, you could probably one-shot some Marksmen or squishy targets, but if you won't manage to do so, he will be dead fairly fast.If you build Malphite as a tank, then your combos will do less damage, but you'll be able to survive and have a much greater impact in team fights.
Skill 4 (ultimate) -> Skill 2 -> Skill 3 -> Skill 1That combo works great with AP, since with Skill 1 you can pretty much finish off enemies that could try to flash out after your combo.
Flash -> Skill 4 (ultimate)When you cast Flash and then quickly use Skill 4, you can travel a greater distance, and pop up unexpectedly. Also, keep in mind that you can use your ultimate to jump over a wall.
Skill 4 (ultimate) -> auto-attack -> Skill 2 -> Skill 3 -> auto-attack -> Skill 1This combo will probably do the most damage since it's built around Malphite's slow and crowd control effects. And, an additional tip: with Skill 2 you can reset your auto-attack.
In what order to level up the skills?
For a tank Malphite, you want to max out his Skill 2 first, then skill 3, and lastly Skill 1.Level 1: Skill 3

The tank Malphite should get items depending on what the enemies on the opposite side are. If the opponent team is heavy AD-focused, you might want to build Thornmail and other Armor items. If they have AP, even Spirit Visage could work along with Warmog's.
The best items for AP Malphite
For a tank Malphite, your best choice is either Mercury's Threads (if the enemy has a lot of magic damage), or Ninja Tabis, with the Teleport enchantment.
For AP Malphite, you could get Swift Stasis or Ionian Stasis, because it will help keep you alive the moment you dive into the enemy team.
