The Bard's Tale is an old school action RPG that launched way back in 2004 when Xbox and PS2 were the in things.

It's tells the comical tale of a roguish bard who has the mysterious power to summon a variety of different animals and humans to help him in battle.

His end goal is, in true RPG form, to save a very beautiful woman who's been captured by the nasty Sauron-like, Fionnaoch.

Dungeon Hunter 5 is hands down the best looking game on this list.

It plays a pretty decent game too, with some satisfyingly meaty combat and fun multiplayer that lets you build and protect your very own Stronghold and raid your friends'.

Reaper is absolutely gorgeous and gives you the impression that you're playing a Disney or Studio Ghibli film.

It's a side scroller and it has an interesting swipey, tappy fighting system. The skill and statistic upgrades are also pretty easy to understand for genre newcomers.
