Wasteland Bar Fight Android, thumbnail 1
Wasteland Bar Fight is a simple arcade brawler that sees you tapping and swiping on the screen to kick the living hell out of a series of grizzled Mad Max-style assailants.

There are two characters to pick from, a burly man and a slightly less burly woman. They both swing punches when you tap on the screen and spray out kicks when you swipe.

The screen is essentially broken up into four sections, where attackers stomp up to you and start trying to mash your face into pulp. You tap and swipe in the sections to direct punches in those directions.

But you're never just attacked from one direction, so you need to hammer all of the areas at once to make sure you're stemming the tide of mohawked brawlers.

Hit him in the goolies

Bosses stumble in from time to time, announced by title fight-style cards. They're hulking brutes, all swinging bellies and gruff faces, and they can take way more punishment than they're skinnier accomplices.

The violence is thick and fast, and you're rarely given a chance to breathe before another wave stomps in from the sides of the screen and starts hitting you.

Booze racked up along the bar behind you can be slugged to give you some more energy, and a rage meter fills up and lets you slow down time for a little while, letting you take a slightly more considered approach to your screen mashing.

The game is out right now on Android, and it's heading to the App Store at some point in the not-too-distant future. It's not the slickest brawler in the world, but there's a meaty crunch to proceedings that makes it worth a look.
