The iconic Warhammer universe gets immortalised in cards as Warpforge release date is announced

After conquering PC gaming, tabletop miniatures, books, and mobile gaming, Warhammer has set its sights on cards, with their digital card game Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge getting its hotly anticipated release date. After a bit of time in, boo, Steam Early Access from October 19th, it shall be hitting mobile storefronts on November 2nd.

Warpforge will be bringing the truly expansive Warhammer world to the card gaming world, with all their memorable factions, characters, and creates available to slot into your deck. There will be different environmental conditions to contend with, as well as an innovative progression system that will allow you to collect and play your favourite army from the start.

Of course, a lot of Warhammer love comes from its atmosphere and design, so there will be the unmistakable artwork, visual effects, music, and most excitingly voice-overs to bring the grim reality of the 41st Millenium unfiltered to the palm of your hand.

Upon launch, there will be six iconic factions to build your decks around, with more coming in the future. The Ultramarines of course are part of this line-up, with Marneus Calgar and Varro Tigurius ready to fight for the Imperium. Perhaps you wish to prolong Halloween this year and take control of the Hive Fleet Leviathan Tyranids, using their mastery of synaptic links to launch the perfect coordinated strike on your terrified foe. The choices are many.

Of course, any deck will need a lot of cards, which is why pre-registration is a must for Warpforge. As well as making sure you don’t miss the date during your trick-or-treating sugar daze, you will also get ten free booster packs to get you started. If you have a faction set in stone and have a bit of excess cash, then you can head to the pre-sale website and browse a few bundles containing premium campaigns for your preferred armies, as well as more boosters and exclusive cosmetic items.

Pre-register Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge from the App Store and Google Play.
