You can emulate Nintendo's 1995 VR console Virtual Boy with an Android phone

Back in 1995, Nintendo ventured into virtual reality gaming with its Virtual Boy. Now, 20 years later, you can emulate it on your Android phone.

The Virtual Boy cost $180 in the US when it was released (which was more then than it is now).

However, if you have an Android phone and a PC, then it'll only cost you an extra £20 to emulate the Virtual Boy. Yep, you'll need to buy Google Cardboard.

YouTuber "DrN0OB" has made a tutorial to show you how to set-up this retro emulation effort.

In short, you'll need to stream the Virtual Boy emulation from your PC to your phone. For that, you'll need the Virtual Boy Emulator.

You'll also need to get the Virtual Boy Emulator VR plugin so that it is displayed with a left and right output for each eye.

Lastly, Splashtop is used to stream your PC's display to your Android phone.

Then, if you've set-up Google Cardboard correctly, you should be able to play Virtual Boy games as they were intended back in 1995.
