Got any plans for the weekend? Cancel them. We've got something better - the latest Kairosoft game on Android.

It's called Venture Towns, and it's the Japanese management game master's take on SimCity. You're tasked with building an urban metropolis, complete with mansions, towers, and museums.

It's all about perfect planning. You'll get big bonuses for placing compatible structures near one another in specialty districts.

All the while, your little bobble-headed residents will go about their lives, working to earn their daily dough to buy cars, houses, and pets. Your overall goal is to build an award-winning town filled with blissfully happy citizens.

The game is already out on iPhone. In our review of that version, we pointed out that while Venture Towns is rather similar to Kairosoft's own Oh! Edo Towns, it's still "yet another excuse to get comfortable on the sofa and lose an entire night or three building up your own little empire".

The Android version is now out, and costs £2.99 / $4.99. Grab Venture Towns from Google Play here.
