Super hard retro platformer VVVVVV is finally set to land on the App Store and the Google Play Store, according to a blog post by dev Terry Cavanagh.

Kinks have been ironed out, the controls are sorted, and the game is just about ready to be submitted for approval.

If you're not familiar with VVVVVV it's from the dev behind Super Hexagon, and it sees you adventuring through a blocky planet, flipping gravity and trying to find your friends after your spaceship crashes.

It's super tough, incredibly absorbing, and we gave the 3DS version of it a Gold Award when we reviewed it a couple of years ago.

We'll let you know when the release date for the game is announced, but in the meantime check out the video below where Cavanagh shows off his favoured control scheme.
