Tropico, the dictator strategy game, releases in September for Android devices

| Tropico

Earlier this year Tropico made its way onto iPhone's after an update meant it was no longer an iPad exclusive. Now Android users will be able to play the dictator simulator themselves on 5th September.

Feral Interactive has become a top tier name when it comes to porting games to mobile devices having previously brought Rome Total War and Grid Autosport to phones. Tropico is their most recent endeavour, launching on iPad last year where we thought it was excellent.

Tropico sees players take on the role of El Presidente, a leader of a small Caribbean island. From there you'll be tasked with improving the economy, housing and facilities to make sure those under your rule are content. You'll also need to make sure you quash any other political parties that may try and usurp your power.

You'll have several presidents to choose from, each with their traits and there is also several islands to reign supreme over too. So there's plenty of content to get stuck into

If you're on Android and have been patiently waiting to rule with an iron fist on the go then you can pre-order Tropico from Google Play. The game will cost £11.99 and will have no in-app purchases.

It will take up 2.5gb of space and you'll need Android 8.0 to run it. For a list of fully supported devices, see the list below.
