Toca Life World partners with Sanrio to welcome Hello Kitty and Friends into the kids' virtual playground

If you've always fancied welcoming world-famous feline friend Hello Kitty and lazy egg Gudetama into your home, Toca Life World lets you do just that. Swedish game developer Toca Boca's latest collaboration with hit lifestyle brand Sanrio now lets players add a splash of colour into their Home Designer creator tool, as the Hello Kitty and Friends franchise leaps into their community playground.

In Toca Life World, players can spruce up their virtual homes with a new furniture pack and tons of exciting home decor as the Sanrio collab launches. Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Badtz-maru, My Melody, and Gudetama (a personal fave) all join in on the holiday festivities this season, encouraging players to unleash their creativity with Hello Kitty and Friends.

Hello Kitty is a global cultural phenomenon with fans spanning four generations,” says Max Heirbaut, Senior Manager, Franchise Development at Toca Boca. “For decades, Sanrio has encouraged people to express themselves through iconic characters. We're thrilled to welcome Hello Kitty and Friends into our digital world, providing players with new tools for self-expression while enhancing Sanrio’s digital presence with a new generation of playful people.”

Toca Boca’s purpose of fostering a new generation of creativity aligns perfectly with Sanrio’s values of cultivating friendship, kindness and inclusivity through the power of play,” says Craig Takiguchi, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Business Development at Sanrio, Inc. “In this collaboration, we wanted to help bring the world of Sanrio and its characters to life through Toca Boca’s immersive digital playground. Players have endless possibilities to design their home and interact in the game, and now they can create their very own environment that infuses our unique and lovable characters.”

Toca Life World was recently heralded as the iPhone App of the Year (2021) at the App Store Awards, and if you're eager to give it a go yourself, you can download the game over on the iOS App Store or on the Google Play Store. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
