Tile Temple Tactics is a new digital boardgame that requires some seriously deep thinking to outwit your opponent

Appy Nation is enticing our competitive spirits out to play once again via its new game Tile Temple Tactics.

It's a digital boardgame for up to two people, either through network multiplayer or same-device gaming.

Tile Temple Tactics starts with a grid filled with numbered tiles. The first player picks up one of the tiles, and the number on that tile is added to her score.

The second player then has to pick a tile from the board. However, she can only pick a tile from the same row or column as the first player's removed tile. And so it goes.

The player with the highest score when all the tiles are removed is declared the winner.

But that's only the most simple variant of Tile Temple Tactics.

As you progress through the game, you see, you'll come across new rules, magic items, and ways of stringing together combos.

In one case, most of the tiles are turned over so you can't see the numbers underneath. In another case, your moves are restricted to a specific colour of tile.

Tile Temple Tactics takes a lot of thought and ingenuity to play, then.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, you can download it for free from the App Store [download], Google Play [download], the Amazon Appstore [download], and the Windows Phone Store [download].
