Excellent iOS world-building sim The Sandbox heading to Android before end of February
7 days of work
Bulkypix's The Sandbox, which has been downloaded from Apple's App Store more than 2 million times, is making its way to Google Play.
The Sandbox is a pixel-art word-building simulation in which you assume the role of a god-like figure to create your very own universe from 88 different elements, such as sand, water, and fire.
There are two different game modes in this build-'em-up: Story and Free.
In Story mode, you start out with a limited number of base elements. With these, you must complete a variety of tasks and unlock additional elements along the way.
You can then use the elements that you unlock in Story mode in Free mode, where you're allowed to stretch your imagination and build pretty much anything you fancy.
The Sandbox for Android will contain "similar" features to its iOS counterpart. You won't be able to create humans at launch, though, in the Android version.
These fleshy Homo sapiens will be added post-release in a "quick update".
Expect to see The Sandbox on Google Play before the end of February.
