[Update] Make something amazing in The Sandbox to earn great prizes and glory

| The Sandbox

We've been enjoying The Sandbox ever since its debut last May, and we know a lot of you have, too.

Which is why we thought it was high time to revisit Pixowl's creation-'em-up via a massive great competition.

If you don't already know, you can make all sorts of stuff in The Sandbox, including pixel-art, working contraptions, electronics sets, and musical landscapes.

Just My Imagination

So, what we want YOU to do is let your imagination run wild and show us just how incredibly creative you can be when you put your mind to it.

The person who submits the best The Sandbox creation via the power of image will win a print signed by the developer, which is - as is the case in all our gaming competitions - a one-of-a-kind, money-can't-buy prize.

Two runners-up will win an official The Sandbox T-shirt each. I can confirm that these are very snazzy, indeed.

Even if you don't win one of our fabulous prizes, though, there's the very real possibility that you'll earn genuine Internet Fame™, for the shots we like most will be posted in this article every week for the entire Pocket Gamer community to see.

How to get involved...

Boot up The Sandbox, ensure you've unlocked the Sandbox mode, and then make something spectacularly awesome. Then, take a screenshot.

Next, you need to upload the picture to the web. We recommend you use imgur for this.

Click 'Computer' if you're using the full version of the site, or 'Upload an Image' if you're on your mobile. Then, pick your pic, and hit 'upload'.

Once it's done, highlight the Direct Link URL and tap 'copy'. Now, come back to this article and paste it in the comments section below, along with any fine words of wisdom you'd like to share.

Go, go, go!

So, go get your creative juices flowing and show us something funny, something touching, something crazy, something... something!

Oh, and if you need a little help with the game, be sure to check out our very handy The Sandbox guide.

You've got until 10am on April 25th to get your entry in. We can't WAIT to see what you come up with.

The winners 1st place: The detail in mogstar4's rendition of the first two Iron Man suits is superb. The little extras such as the computers and company logo are the icing on the cake. I love it. Runner-up 1: Sticking with the fun science theme, yuvalk1's experiment can help him count accurately up to ten minutes, essentially turning The Sandbox into - among other things - an elaborate (and superb) timer. Runner-up 2: Apparently, there are no limits to bhavukjain1's talents. He can run very long distances without dying, and he can paint oddly tranquil pixel landscapes using his finger. Top work, sir!

Thanks to everyone that took part in this competition. The prizes may have been handed out now, but feel free to continue sharing your awesome The Sandbox pics with us.

To do so, just follow the instructions above. We look forward to seeing more of your creations in the comments section below over the coming weeks and months.
