Product: The Dead Flowers Case
Publisher: Mando Productions
Format: Android, iPad
Dead flowers laid next to a murdered factory worker doesn't mean much to us. But in a world where all plant life died out long ago, it opens up many questions.
This is just the start to the mysteries of The Dead Flowers Case. Most notably, this 2.5D point and click adventure features the steampunk sculptures of Oscar-nominated Belgian artist, Stephane Halleux.
The world is crafted around Halleux's models, and the result is a mechanical dystopia in which workers take Nevrovitamin pills so they never have to take a break. Grim.
You play a police detective looking into this strange murder. Interrogating suspects, scanning crime scenes with the MecaLens for clues, and figuring out riddles left behind by the culprit.
Handling the development of the game is Mando Productions, whose team has experience in crafting adventure games like Amerzone and Syberia.
Mando is currently looking for $290,000 on Kickstarter in order to fund the continued development of The Dead Flowers Case.
If you're interested in becoming a backer, you can receive copies of the game on PC, Mac, iOS and Android. There's also exclusive artwork, physical game boxes, and statues if you're willing to pay the price.
