The Bonfire 2: Uncharted Shores will launch for iOS on August 20th with the PC version arriving the day after

If you tuned into our inaugural LaunchPad event a few weeks ago, you'll have seen our exclusive look at Xigma Games' The Bonfire 2: Uncharted Shores where we also said the game was looking to target a summer release. We now know that will be on 20th August for iOS and a day later for PC. The game is also slated to release for Android too but we don't have a date for that just yet.

As you can tell from the name, it is a sequel to the excellent The Bonfire: Forsaken Lands. However, it has moved on from the side-on perspective used in the original title and Xigma Games has instead opted to go with a 3D isometric viewpoint.

The game sees players plonked on a procedurally generated map where you'll then be tasked with exploring both land and sea in search of resources. Once you've accrued enough of them you'll set to work building your own little community. Each of your settlers will have individual stats and can be levelled up by making sure you're tending to their different needs.

To keep that little group strong and healthy it will be vital to keep exploring the uncharted lands in search of other cities that you'll be able to trade with. Beyond that, there will also be dungeons to plunder for loot from that will prove useful for increasing the strength of your settlement both in terms of weapons and armour.

When night falls The Bonfire 2 becomes more akin to a survival game because a gang of nasty beasties will try and invade your town. Here you'll need to manage your workers and organise your defences to ensure you survive the night and keep these creatures at bay.

The Bonfire 2: Uncharted Shores is set to arrive on the App Store on August 20th and Steam the day after. It will be a premium title that will cost $4.99 and $11.99 on iOS and PC respectively. The game is also set to arrive on Google Play at a later date and we'll be sure to keep you informed when we learn more.
