What should we make of a game that can play itself? Or an RPG that drops tactical depth in favour of RSI-invoking touchscreen tapping?
Tap Heroes is both those things.
It's an idle and brainless role-playing revamp that cuts out the lore and exploration in favour of endless battles against goblins and eternal levelling up.
But I can't deny that there's something fun about this treadmill. Something psychologically pleasing about seeing your power constantly rise and rise.
It's like a real RPG in miniature, even if the fun can only sustain itself for a couple of hours.
