Updated on May 1st at 11:05: As promised, Constantin Graf has now released SwapQuest on Android today.

You can download it for free on Google Play right now. Note that the full game, as covered below, costs £1.49 / $1.99 after the first two levels.

Original story follows...

Constantin Graf has let us know that his Silver Award-winning puzzle-RPG SwapQuest will be out for Android on April 30th.

It'll be the same game so there should be no worries as to its quality. We said in our review of the iOS version that it's a "bright and engaging mix of the old and the new."

However, what will be changing on its new platform is its payment model.

"Instead of charging the player upfront, you can download SwapQuest for free and then unlock the full game after the first two levels for £1.49 / $1.99," Graf explained.

He also revealed that there will be a new section in the caravan where you can buy jewels. These jewels let you afford the next ability upgrade faster.

Graf notes that buying these jewels is completely optional and doesn't affect the balancing of the game.

Lastly, we're told that in celebration of SwapQuest being available on Android, the iOS version's price will be dropped to £1.49 / $1.99 from April 30th to May 3rd.

If you can't wait that long then you can purchase it for £2.29 / $2.99 on the App Store right now.
