It's all creepy hospitals and dead mothers in the new screenshots for Android horror game Catequesis

After months of silence the studio behind retro-style survival horror game Catequesis have released new, creepy screenshots.

First off, though, the team had to clarify that, yes, they are still working on the game. To prove it, they released a small list of their current activities:

"We are working on cutscenes, foes behaviour, polishing thousands of things… and also we are working on another project at the same time…"

Ooo, another project, eh? OK, that's obviously a while away yet, so let's focus on these new Catequesis screenshots.

There are five of them that you can view in the "Image gallery" tab we have for the game above. A few of them are below, including this one that shows a man in love with a giant red egg at a masquerade party.

There are also scenes in a disturbing hospital where patients are experimented on. The main character is among them. He also happens across some ugly eyeball creatures. Yuck.

A snippet of one of the game's cutscenes gives more insight into what's happening in this hospital. See below.

The other screenshots zoom in on some of the game's religious undertones. A man, who might be a vicar, guards his dead mother.

While worshippers appear to prepare to attack the main character who is armed with a shotgun.

There's still no word of when Catequesis will be ready to appear on Android. So make sure you follow the game on SlideDB so you don't miss the announcement.
