While playing Super Crate Box on iPhone and iPad is a joyful experience, you can't escape the feeling it would be better with a set of physical controls. PS Vita version, anyone?

Yes, please. Fortunately, Super Crate Box creator Vlambeer looks set to oblige.

You might have picked up on the announcement at Sony's PlayStation Mobile event at Gamescom recently, but we felt it deserved shouting about.

Indeed, Vlambeer has since confirmed the story on its own website, stating: "we just wanted to confirm to all of you that per yesterday's announcement by Sony, yes, Super Crate Box is coming to Vita & PlayStation Certified mobile phones!"

Heading to Android, too

It's worth driving home that last point about PlayStation Vita fans not being the only ones to get a slice of the action. Android owners will also be able to play Super Crate Box on their phones.

This includes most of the Sony Xperia range - including the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play (for more physical control thrills) - as well as the recent HTC One range.

Another reason to love the HTC One X!
