Assembling your dream team in Summoners War: Chronicles can be either tricky or extremely simple - all you need is to have at least one reliable monster and you're set for life. But how can you make the best team in Summoners War: Chronicles when you're just starting out, and who should you recruit? That's exactly what this article is going to cover.

As you probably know already, the game has a unique and fun concept among all the other Summoners War games - you can actually summon your monsters to fight alongside your character! You will have a total of three active monsters that you can deploy into battle, and since there are hundreds of units in the game, that is not always an easy choice.

How to put together the best team in Summoners War: Chronicles

In order to have a good team, you will need to have damage, sustainability, and a front line. That's the rule of thumb in pretty much any game, correct?

Depending on your playable character of choice, you can pick a different monster to add to your team based on the traits you're missing, but we'll dive into more detail below.

Bottom line is, every team should have damage, and that will not always come from your character of choice - Monsters can have significant damage output, which will help you a lot when fighting various enemies. So, each team should have at least one powerful damage dealer monster.

Assemble a team based on the character you play

For each of the three playable characters, you can deploy different monsters to complement your team and provide whatever it is your character is missing.

Orbia is a character that specialises in Magic DMG, so she will have quite significant damage output herself. Along with another DPS monster, most of the time (NOT always!) the damage output will be enough. As such, you will need some sustainability in the form of a support monster as well as a front line, which could be a tank/defensive monster. Kina is the character that can provide heals to her allies and monsters, so you can skip the support monster altogether and go for two DPS ones instead. A front-line monster (a tank) could also work well, but since she can heal allies as well as deal plenty of damage herself, you can sometimes just use three DPS monsters. Cleaf is a defensive character who can engage enemies head-on, so you will not need to use any tank monsters, just a support/healer and DPS units. Sometimes the support can be a hybrid between support and DPS, which will significantly boost your clear speed.

So, which are the best teams in Summoners War: Chronicles for all of these characters? Let's check them out below!

Summoners War Chronicles best teams - generally good

The one very good team any player can rely on in most instances of the game is the one made up of these three units. They are all good, and despite being only 3*, Dark Harpy fits into this team extremely well. Paired with the other two Wind units, they can make enemies disappear in an instant through sheer damage and debuffs.

  • Harpy (Dark)
  • Martial Cat (Wind)
  • Jack-o'-lantern (Wind)

These three are amazing units for clearing most of the PvE content since they provide a ton of buffs for the team and the player, as well as more than enough debuffs on the enemy to make them go boom.

Jack-o'-lantern can not only provide buffs to his teammates by raising their critical damage, but he can also raise their defence and de-buff the enemy units by lowering their attack speed.

The 4-star Wind element Martial Cat synergises amazingly well with Jack-o'-lantern's critical damage buff bonus, as she has the ability to raise the critical damage taken by enemy units.

Harpy, a 3-star dark unit, is a perfect fit for this team as her second skill (Fox Hunt) can stun the enemies if she lands a critical hit. On top of that, her 3rd skill Sign of Death lowers the enemy's defences, allowing her team to deal even more damage.

Summoners War Chronicles best teams - Orbia teams

Orbia is a ranged Summoner who can use her attacks to destroy anything standing before her. She can apply various passive negative effects on the enemies, and can easily be in a team with just a single DPS since she's a powerful damage dealer herself. Some of the best units to use with her are:
  • Epikion Priest (Water)
  • Gore (Wind)
  • Chimera (Water)
Epikion Priest (4-Star Water) is an excellent support unit who can raise her team's defence and recover their HP with her skill Fill. Her third skill, Magic Shield, removes harmful effects from allies and shields them. In other words, Epikion Priest is one of the best units in the game to keep a team alive. Chimera (5-Star Water) has two skills that scale off its defence. That makes him an ideal fit in a team with Epikion Priest. Squal is a skill that rams enemies and deals damage based on its defence, plus it applies frostbite status to the target. Crush skill deals damage to all nearby enemies based on its defence, and can also provoke them. Gore (3-Star Wind) is a unit that can debuff enemies by removing ATK UP and DEF UP status. But, Shoulder Strike is what makes this one a great fit for this team as this skill deals damage to nearby enemies based on its defence.

3
Summoners War Chronicles best teams - Cleaf teams

Cleaf is a tanky Summoner, which means he can be the first line of defence between the enemy and the player's team. He can mitigate some of the damage dealt to the team by increasing the team's DEF, but he can also taunt the enemies, making them attack him instead.

He pairs extremely well with DPS units and supports, such as :

4
Summoners War Chronicles best teams - Kina teams

Kina is a support Summoner who can buff the allies' ATK and much more. She can also heal the allies, but sadly she lacks in damage output, so if you play her, you will need to use high DPS monsters in order to finish off the enemies quickly.

She can do well with DPS units and sometimes a tank or another good support monster, so some of the best units you can use with her are:

  • Valkyrja (Wind)
  • High Elemental (Fire)
  • Harg (Light)

Valkyrja 5 Star Wind brings a lot of damage to the table. Her first skill, Sword of Promise, gives Valkyrja not only defence penetration but drain as well. When Valkyrja awakens into Katarina, her newly acquired skill, Momentary Gap applies invisibility to her and it continues to do so if it has over a certain amount level of ATK UP.

High Elemental 4 Star Fire - Tectonic Shift is a skill that can deal a lot of damage, 316% of ATK and 40% DEF Penetration at level 1. If the caster has ATK UP status, then High Elemental gains up to 50% Crit Rate. God of Fire is the third skill and it can buff the whole team with ATK UP status.

Harg 4 Star Light - Harg is a support unit that can decrease the skill cooldown of the summoner with its first skill, Rabbit's Agility. Its other skill, Buddy, is what makes Harg a nice fit for this team as it applies ATK UP to the ally with the highest ATK, plus continuous recovery and endurance.
