The best iOS controller is heading to Android this July

SteelSeries has announced that its Stratus XL controller is going to be available for Windows and Android in July.

As with the iOS version, this upcoming Android compatible version of the Stratus XL will connect to your devices via Bluetooth.

It should be able to connect to any Android-based smartphone, tablet, or micro-console (such as Ouya), as well as Fire TV.

The Stratus XL is a console-style controller with two analogue sticks, four face buttons, a d-pad, and four shoulder buttons.

We gave it a Gold Award in our review of the iOS version. We also dubbed it the best controller for iOS in our guide to smartphone controllers.

Our reviewer noted that it's "a fantastic, responsive, and high quality controller for iPad gamers, but iPhone users might find it a little awkward to use."

The Windows compatible version of the Stratus XL controller will be sold for £59.99 on Amazon this July. The Android version hasn't been given a price yet but will be available from July onwards also.
